This week, I felt that the best way for me to figure out how I should properly execute my capstone project, I need to do a LOT of research. When it comes to crystal healing, there is so much to learn. On Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, I read a book called Crystals for Beginners, the Guide to Get Started with the Healing Power of Crystals by Karen Frazier. A challenge I had was definitely comprehension. I am not used to reading since I basically stopped reading in middle school so my grammar and vocabulary skills are bottom tier bare minimum so reading this book definitely took me a while. But the book was definitely easier than what I’ve had to read at school.

I definitely learned a lot from a book meant for beginners. The book said I should get a few crystals that I am drawn towards. I spoke with a few people I know who are experienced with crystals about purchasing my first few crystals and they mentioned a crystals and beads shop near by. To get me started and familiar with crystals, I bought a few from the crystals and beads shop mentioned to me. The place is in Delaware, Ohio, called the Raven’s Cauldron. I purchased two yellow cracked quartz crystals and one aragonite crystal. I also purchased a selenite charging plate and a spiral pendant.

This photo definitely visualizes part of what I have done this week. The book I purchased cost about $13 and the crystals from the bead shop were about $20.
